Hitting the Road: In Person with our PIM Partners

Throughout the past month, our eCommerce Leadership Team has had the opportunity to connect with our PIM Partners in person for the first time in what felt like ages. With Covid numbers decreasing and in person events picking back up, we were all thrilled to have the opportunity to meet with colleagues in the flesh that we have spoken with countless times virtually. We took our Ecommerce message of our team being uniquely positioned to assist customers in getting the most out of their product data and hit the airways to learn from each other.

When the world changed in March of 2020, we all quickly adapted to our new ways of working, setting up our at-home work stations, mastering how to share screens on various video platforms, and growing accustomed to dogs saying hello to colleagues. Building relationships and truly growing friendships with our clients and colleagues through our computer screens really was our only option for so long that when the opportunity arose in August to plan in-person meetings, we jumped at the chance to be together.

Our first stop was Dreamforce, the largest technology conference in the world, where we were able to spend quality time with the leadership team at inriver. Inriver is a leading PIM provider that focuses on four key focus areas: onboarding, creation, distribution, and evaluation. Based in Sweden, inriver prides themselves in being able to handle complex data models. A new partner of ours in 2022, it was great to be able to spend quality time with Julie Cooper, Director of Partnerships in North America.

Next, we had the opportunity to enjoy dinner in Boston with our partners at Salsify, including Taye Mohler, Vice President of Partners and Alliances; Steven Charnley, Senior Partner Manager; and Nick Ziter, Manager of Partner Success. It was a phenomenal opportunity to reflect on our collaborative efforts throughout the past year and a half, and begin planning for 2023. We also had the opportunity to work from Salsify’s Boston headquarters, building relationships with their sales and customer service teams.

To wrap up our travels, our team had the incredible opportunity to attend Unlock Boston, Akeneo PIM’s fall conference for partners. As a new partner to the Akeneo ecosystem, we had the pleasure of learning the details of Akeneo’s 2023 roadmap, hear success stories from their long-time clients, and network with their leadership team.

It’s often said that there is immense power when a group of people with similar interests get together to work towards a common goal. The energy and passion our team has felt on the road throughout the past month has been inspiring to us all. The PIM space is poised for immense growth, and is supported by some of the brightest minds in technology and business. We feel fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such great organizations, and look forward to helping our clients continue to forge ahead in their digital transformations and help them grow their businesses.
